As Expected

As expected, Sachin was rested, India won the toss and elected to bowl first. First ball of the match Zak strikes, the pitch was not up to international standards. I watched the match till the 17th over and I have seen enough of a fourth day test match track and I couldn't watch it anymore. After I woke up, I wanted to check the score board and I see headlines Kotla faces sanctions for pitch fiasco and Match abandoned after 23 overs.
I thought SL reacted lil late, they should have complained about the pitch after a few nasty deliveries one that hit Dilshan and a few others which were awkwardly played. This is not the first time BCCI failed to test the quality of the pitch when international teams are playing and I would like to leave it to your imagination how they treat domestic matches. The amount of money that BCCI has and they spend towards cricket in India is not proportional would be an understatement. I am still not sure how could a country like India where Cricket is like a religion have a Board so strong and adamant that they would do anything else but improve cricket.
I have a lunch invitation from my wife's friend and I would like to conclude this topic here but would take it up an other day.
Have fun
Cheers
